Year Founded: 1999, initial enrollment in July 2000 of 53 students in K-2
Enrollment 2005-06: 610 students in grades K-7 from Brunswick, Columbus,
                                 New Hanover,Bladen & Pender Counties
Enrollment 2009-10: 820+ students in grades K-8
Campus: 50 wooded acres in Brunswick County, 14 minutes
                     from downtown Wilmington

Our School’s Mission:

The Mission of Charter Day School is to teach children the rules and techniques for effective expression and communication in the arts and sciences so that they are able to communicate, by these arts and sciences, our understandings of the universe and our role in it. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality educational experience in a safe, clean, spirited, and morally strong environment.

Honors & Awards:

The N.C. Board of Education ranks Charter Day School as a Top-25 School (out of the more than 1,500 K-8 schools in the state) for the exceptional academic growth of its students. The school has also received the state’s highest honor for achieving “Honor School of Excellence” status. Community support for the school is outstanding, as are parent approval ratings.
